Building Australia’s Hemp Future.

About Us

A national group of operating hemp fibre processors and Australian-made binder manufacturers working together to grow our domestic hemp industry. We supply residential and commercial builds with high-quality, retted hurd from plants grown and processed here at home.

AHFP Inc acts to strengthen the supply of hemp hurd and coproducts across the national industry, as the group builds pathways for processors, farmers and manufacturers to work as one.

AHFP Objectives

AHFP Inc will investigate opportunities to increase the viability of hemp farming and processing by improving the uptake of industrial hemp co-products.

The group will work to supply building grade hurd that can be certified for Australian Hemp Masonry and other projects to meet building compliance and insurance requirements.

Role of AHFP Inc.

  • To collaborate and meet standards that ensure availability of certifiable high quality Australian grown and processed building grade hemp hurd for construction.

  • To investigate new markets for hemp coproducts.

  • To share marketing and product concepts & ideas.

  • To identify opportunities where collaboration supports demand for fibre based products beyond construction.

  • To supply building grade hurd from Australian processors so that demand for projects can be met with preference for regional supply.

AHFP Inc represents processors and binder manufacturers working to expand the Australian hemp industry. The group provides building grade hurd produced from plants grown and processed in Australia.

Members collaborate to support consistent supply for residential and commercial construction projects.

AHFP Inc hosts structured sessions to examine processing standards, supply chain development, and compliance requirements.

Events are organised to engage with stakeholders in construction, agriculture, and policy. Each meeting sets outcomes that advance national processing capacity.

Current projects include the delivery of certified hurd for building applications, the assessment of coproduct markets, and the coordination of regional processing supply.

Projects are designed to create pathways for certified products and to align with national building compliance.
